* Activity 11 Create Slide Show

Before you start to create your slide show you MUST

MUST MUST first make sure you saved all of your projects as ( .JPG )'s

DO that NOW if you have not already done so................

Here is an example of what your slide show should look like....

1. Open PhotoShop Elements

2. At the welcome screen choose the CREATE button - - this can also be done by going to File/ Create / Slideshow

3. The Program will slowly open the organizer and then an Slide Show Preferences window will open automatically.

4. When the Slide Show Preferences dialog box appears, Select the following options: (you can change them later) Then click OK to open the Slide Show Editor.


5. All the tools for creating your slide show are in the Slide Show Editor dialog box. The photos you chose to use in the slide show appear at the bottom of the screen.

A. File Menu B. Shortcuts bar C. Slide preview D. Playback controls E. Ordering options F. Story board G. Background music file name H. Palette bin I. Slide show duration

9. Add Your Activity ( .JPG)'s to the slide show:

10. Choose add Media / add files



11. Navigate to your files (Desktop / Module Desktop Shortcuts / # Digital Scrapbooking / Your Folder)

12. It should look like this: To Sort and Organize change to details view

13. To Sort and Organize Sort by Type: (Click on Type)

14. Choose the Jpeg files and click OPEN

 

15. Now all of your Pictures will appear in the slide show sorter "Story Board" at the bottom


16. Reorder the slides. -

  • To reorder slides: Do one of the following:
    -Click a slide and drop it in a new location in the Photo Bin. (See Pic Below)
    -Click Quick Reorder. In the dialog box, rearrange the slides and then click Close.
    -Choose an option from the Slide Order menu.
    -Reordering slides is easy using Quick Reorder


17. Resize a photo on a slide. (See To resize a slide.)

  • To resize a slide:
    -If a photo is not fitting in a slide correctly, you can manually adjust the photo’s size and position.
    -Select a slide, and then click the photo in the main preview window.
    Do any of the following in the Properties palette:
    -To adjust the size of the photo, drag the Size slider.
    -To fill the slide with the photo, click Crop To Fit.
    -To show the entire photo, click Fit On Slide. Areas of the slide around the photo are filled with the background color. You can change the color in Slide Show Preferences. (See To set slide show preferences.)

 

  • Notes of other features if necessary for your slide shows:
    -Add a new blank slide. For example, you can create a title page on a blank slide. (See To add a new blank slide.)
    -Right-click a slide and choose Delete Slide to remove it from the slide show.
    -Add text captions to a slide. (See To add text to a slide.)

18. Preview your slide show by clicking the Preview button. You can return to editing slides by clicking Edit Slide Show at any time.

19. Click Save Project to save your work. It’s a good idea to save the slide show regularly.

20. Then Type In:


21. When you’re ready to share the slide show, click Output.

To output a slide show.

22. Choose File / Output Slide Show

23. Choose (Save As a File) then ( PDF ) as seen in Pic Below!

24. Then save the file in your folder as (TechLab #'s - Last Names - FINAL SLIDE SHOW )
